In a typological photographic record, Angela Moore presents images of "hares" charged with a very specific function: these mechanically operated figures "take part" in British greyhound races. In the absence of any standard regulations for their appearance, these "hares" vary according to the taste and imagination of the organisers of each racecourse. The result is charming, if occasionally grotesque.
