The group exhibition mounted by the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography presents an extensive series of works from the permanent collection, mainly by Greek artists, treating the theme of the object, through a wide variety of approaches including readings of history, formalistic studies, experimental or unconventional angles of vision, sociological or semantic analysis, examinations of concepts like sacredness and fetishism. Photography, itself a trace of the material, here explores objects charged with ordinary or ritual function, with a particular, personal or imaginary aura.
