Architect and photographer, Gabriele Basilico has been studying and analysing the concept of space for many decades now. His pictures of monuments and urban archaeological sites confirm this. "He does not try to describe these imposing structures, as was the case in the primary stages of photography as an art form", says Christian Caujolle, "but, having studied the fragile points of modern space, he addresses, with obvious enthusiasm, the monumental character of the subject that presents itself."
