Polaroid pictures mark time more distinctly. The few minutes that elapse between snapping the shot and the development of the finished picture make it clear that every passing moment becomes the past. In the same way, a diary is written in the present for the immediate past. Olga Kalousi chooses to juxtapose the two, in a photographic record of images of her own personal places and the pages of her own written memories.
