Pavlina Ecclessiarhou presents a series of still lifes that swing back and forth from the classical to the modern. Ordinary everyday objects are projected as strong shapes in austere compositions. However, the almost painterly technique of the photography -gradually adding levels of colour to an initially black-and-white photograph - gives off a sense of serene beauty.
